Day Trip: Interstate Park

Interstate Park, a joint venture between Minnesota and Wisconsin, celebrates the beauty of the St. Croix valley. The St. Croix River forms the "west coast" of Wisconsin, the boundary between Wisconsin and Minnesota, from near St. Paul, Minnesota, to south of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin. Because the two parts of this Interstate Park are managed separately by Wisconsin and Minnesota, there are separate entrance fees for the two parts of the park.

While in the St. Croix Falls / Taylors Falls area, enjoy other activities.

Boat rides are available from private vendors on the St. Croix River.

Getting There

From Rainbow's End Resort, take County SS or Highway 53 to US Highway 8. Go west on 8 to St. Croix Falls. Interstate State Park is in St. Croix Falls, on Wisconsin Highway 35 just 1/2 mile south of U.S. Highway 8. You can also visit the Minnesota side of the Park in Taylors Falls on Highway 8 - turn left at the traffic light just over the bridge in Minnesota.

Have fun on your outing from Base Camp Chetek at Rainbow's End Resort!
